 The data center, that can be thousand of mile away from us, has useful data, media, files stored inside it. So, how does this data reach to us in our mobile or laptop? This solid state disk are memory storing devices, they store data with good performance. They access the internal memory of server inside the data center. Now let us know something about Server.

But have you wonder that how they transfer accurate data and information from data center to our devices precisely? And it is obvious challenge, isn't it?  So, for understanding this phenomena, first we have to know about one important concept and this concept is concept of an IP address. In this entire world, every device that is in connection with this internet whether it is a computer, a mobile or server. Each IP address is unique. They are made unique and allotted to each device to also identified those device uniquely. As mentioned on it name, IP address, it is address to reach our devices or even website same as address of our home to reach a particular home. Taking an example of letters, if our home address are mentioned correctly and they are accurate then our letter reaches to us precisely, isn't it? Similarly in the web, this IP address is used to send us data and information to us more precisely.

  Even websites have their IP address but memorizing such long string of number was difficult so to make it easy for users, they invented the name called domain name. Domain name came in replacement of IP address. Each IP address are allotted a unique domain name for example youtube.com, facebook.com and so on. All this domain name are allotted to IP address with the help of DNS.

 DNS stands for Domain Name System, this help the web to allot a domain name to particular IP address. In short, DNS is used by Internet to search us through domain name. As I already mentioned before, Internet uses IP address which is a string of number but for our comfort we use domain name which is not familiar to internet. So DNS is a kind of phone book for internet. If we know a person name but don't know the telephone number, we search look for it in phone book. Similarly Internet receive the domain name from us and then check it in DNS and get the correspond IP address from it and finally able to transfer us the required accurate data.

 Many big website like Facebook need a huge space and hosting. So for this, they cannot rely on a particular server. They used their own dedicated server or data center.
