Increase your battery life with all these amazing tips.

Want to increase battery life? Hello guys, Welcome to my fresh new article. Today we gonna know some important tips to increase our phone’s battery life. Many smartphone users have definitely faced this problem in their life. And of course you are search of solution. After facing such problem in Lithium ion battery, its not easy to replace it. It is harder to replace your phone’s battery than treating it in right way for long life of battery. Replacing official battery can be expensive and inconvenient so, it’s better to take care of your battery. Isn’t it? Without making any delay let’s know all about increasing the battery life of your phone.

Firstly you have to know why your phone battery life degrades.

Here, the main thing to know is charge cycle of battery. A charge cycle is full discharge and charge of the battery, from 0% to 100%. Different batteries have different count for charge cycle. Mostly battery manufacturers mentioned that after 400 charge cycles, a phone battery’s capacity will degrade by 20%. Now it will only be able to store 80% energy of its original or previous energy capacity. Even this will continue to degrade with every additional charge cycles. But in reality, we find that phone batteries probably degrade faster than this 400 cycles/ 20% rate. In some case we have seen it in just 100 charge cycle.

So here we came with must important tips after this. Firstly we have to slow down the charge cycles. We should avoid the drain of battery to extreme low. Basically the less drain and charge of battery, the more battery life span of your phone battery. I know that we bought phones for our daily task for comfort but looking for battery life is hard and a bit headache. Isn’t it? So don’t worry I am here with some suggestions and tips to get you out from the problem. It will help you to keep your battery life good. Let us know about them.

Avoid draining of battery all way to 0% and charging all way to 100%.

Yes, u heard it right. As I have mentioned it before, every  battery have its certain number of charge cycle. With every mentioned charge cycle completion there we found 20% of degrade in capacity of battery energy. So try to manage you use of smartphone and avoid drain and charge of phone battery to extremes. It is better to maintain them between 20% to 80% charge of battery. It is said to better for the battery life.

Paying attention on this is not easy but once you will be it habited it will worth all that effort. Believe me because it’s my personal experience. When I owned my first smartphone, I generally drained and charged it to extremes and after some days I literally faced it 20% loss of energy. After this get to this solution and paid a lot of attention for it and then I got habitual to it and in some day I witness the amazing change on it. Now let us go to second tip.

Avoid extreme heat and cold for battery.

It is proven that extreme heat and cold cause strain to battery and tending it to drain fast. It directly affect to battery’s lifespan. You must take care of it while traveling out in extreme hot and cold. Do not leave it for long time in hot and surrounding.

Use Dark theme in phone.

Dark theme is trending nowadays because of its benefit and its main benefit is battery saving. It is proven that dark theme consume less power than that of white theme. In phone having an OLED screen, dark theme makes a great change and save a lot of battery power. But phone with LCD screen does not make any sense because it still use energy to light dark pixels but in OLED all pixels work individually and in dark mode then do not work and make it natural dark. In this way, dark theme helps in saving battery power. And some people in dark theme find easy reading and it look nice also.

Many smartphones manufactures and technical companies like facebook, instagram and so on are trying to bring dark theme on their products. All have realized its benefits. Well right now I is not available in all smartphones but soon you will get to see them in every smartphones.

Turn down the screen brightness.

In any smartphone, screen is the component that uses the most battery power. So it is obvious that turning down the screen’s brightness will save battery life. I will suggest to use auto  brightness mode for this, you will not have any headache for it and it will manage it own . It will automatically reduces and increase were needed and remaining time you can save your battery life. But if no need of light then you can manually low down your phone screen’s brightness. Isn’t it?

Reduce the screen timeout.

I know that you know about screen timeout. When you leave your screen on without using it, it will automatically turn off after a period of time. Usually it is of long time more than one or two minute. You will need it less than one minute to save energy. It is called Auto-Lock in iphone. In screen time out you get notified before with a light dimming.

I use third party apps to change the screen timeout on my phone and time out depend on what I am doing and which app I am using on that particular time.

Look for apps that waste battery power through background data.

Nowadays, you can found a lot of apps that consume a lot of battery life. For example Facebook, it is very notorious resource hog, both on Android and iPhone. If you really want to use such apps then you have to restrict its permission such as background data, access to your location and notification.

You can search for the apps that use a disproportionate amount of energy in your battery setting.          Every smartphones have provided setting to explore that battery uses of all apps. There you can find those apps and delete, disable or restrict the permission as much as possible. Delete those apps which you don’t want to use. If there are some apps you want to use then you can restrict the permission of background data and more. In general, though, the apps that use the most battery always be the apps you uses most, so deleting is not so practical, better restrict as mentioned above.

Turn on Battery saving mode in your smartphone.

Every smartphones are provided with a good feature named as battery saving mode. You have to search it in your setting. In general it can be found in scroll down section. You have to enable it. As you enable it, it limits the performance of the CPU and other features. In this you have to face lower performance but it ensures you long battery life. So in emergency case you can rely on it.

Avoid fast charging.

Yes it is proven that every battery are design to a particular speed of charging. If we charge then with a other fast charge for fast charging, it produces stress on battery and badly affect the battery life. So prefer to charge with your own charger, avoid fast charging.

Finally I would to suggest you to check your battery life frequently. In current version of iOS, there is feature of monitoring battery health but for android you can use third party app.

I hope this article was helpful for you. Let me know that all this effort worth it or not? Even you can leave your experience, thought in the comment section. Thank you✌.
